Lucky paper stars!

Oh My Lucky Paper Stars!

Probably, the easiest and most well known example of folding with one strip of paper is the Lucky Star. It is also called Chinese lucky star, dream star, wishing star, or simply origami star. When they are made in a variety of colors and arranged in layers, or set in clear glass bowls, they are visually stunning.
Just one warning: folding Lucky Paper Stars can be very addictive!



You will learn that the number of times you should wrap around the pentagon will depend on the width of your strip and the thickness of your paper. If at step 7 your star is too thick, it will be very hard to push in the sides so you should use shorter length strip in that case. On the side if your paper is too thin, the pentagon will bend and you can't form the star right, so use longer paper. It's not as complicated as it sounds, so go for it. Couple of times of trial and mistakes and you'll have a perfect lucky paper star.

You could also make bigger stars :


If the stores in your neighborhoud don't sell the precut strips of paper, you can also order on the Internet. If you find that too expensive you can print out some paper and cut the strips yourself.

geil en toch niet........

Right. That title was the idea of the Dj from the radio WorX4uFM. I asked "Does anybody know a title for the blog?" and he answered that. It means "Horny and actually not..." or something like that. Huray! hi alfredjeh.

So I'm a kinda bored. I just finished the book I was reading. Now it's on top of my head. I could show you, but I'm not in the mood to make a picture and upload it. So you're not going to see it :D!

Yeay. I've worked today. Again. And it was not as frustrating as yesterday. There were less annoying people... so that's a good thing «3.

My parents went away for about.. three hours ago. They went to a birthday. So now I'm all alone :')! That's why I can sit here with a book on my head for almost 20 minutes.

I have really no freakin' idea what I should write about. But I'm still trying to do this every day, even if I don't know what to write about.

So I think I'm going to break the record.. "How long could you sit with a book on the top of your head when you're home alone and you're chatting with some weird people?". Wish me luck.

Sorry for not-blogging yesterday. I was too tiered to blog actually.

So yesterday was cool :]. With funny people in the train ^-^.

Today was... horrible. I had to work and it was too hot and there were too much people who wanted to annoy me. "Customers". Mostly from Belgium and Germany.

I was driving at the wrong way of the road, because if I would cross the road at that point... I would be dead. Or something like that. So there were 2 guys driving also, in the opposite direction. They yelled "BEN JE ENGELS OFZO"("ARE YOU ENGLISH OR SOMETHING")... so I yelled 'YES I AM «3' And I think they think I'm weird. :]

Eclips.

Yeah. I bought a new book, Eclips. It's the third from the Twilight-series. I don't know how you spell it in English... But it's pretty much the same. I've been reading since I bought it this morning. I'm at page 90 :]!

Tuesday
I had a fight with my parents about a stupid e-mail. Nothing special. I wasn't allowed to go to the common-craneparty of Kelly and the last day of school.

Wednesday
I was sleeping, but suddenly my mum was sitting on my bed. She told me that I could go to Kelly and the last day of school :]. So I packed all the things I needed and I went to school ^-^.

And of course there were some people who we could annoy :'D! Lennard and Wout :3. Lennard is a guy form the technical things and Wout is our sidekick and the future-husband of Kelly(they're going to marry september the first, 2010 xD)! Lennard didn't really like us... :'[!

Thursday
Yeay, it's the last day of school. We woke up at ...half past nine. Or something :')? I don't know. About 11 'o clock we went to school and we had our breakfast there. Hamburgers. They were good though ^-^. Prof. Dhont didn't seem to be angry or something... (The guy hás got humor?!) so that was a good thing :]! We got some t-shirts... with Spongebob and Patrick on it :'D! So we started to ask everyone to write something. There were a lot of things to do outside and it was fun, because of the nice weather.

At 3.30 I went home... well.. I went to the restaurant of my parents. But I wanted to take a shower and I had to walk home. While I was walking in my beautiful outfit, there were some people who almost broke their neck while driving. That was hilarious. I almost caused an accident ._.!

But. Now you're a kinda up to date. So please forgive me for not bloggingggg :{!

It's a common crane and it's round.

Mweheh. I went to school today. I had to make a bookreport for French. «/3 I was like.. 2 hours early, so I went to Jacqueline, the OrigamiTeacher «333!!!

There was another teacher, who likes to eat his lunch at the reception of the school. Or something. And we were talking about common cranes -I know...- and he said 'You know.. you would be a pro if you could make a common crane out of a round paper, instead of a square paper.'. So I looked at him like 'I'm going to try that.'. But I had to go, so I went to Frensh. After that, I had to wait for the bus. So I went to Jacqueline again, to make the round common crane :'D!
I shall make a picture of it when I've got it... it looks... weird :'). And of course, while I was making it, my English teacher showed up at the reception... She was looking at me like "Oh Peanut, not again those common cranes ;___;!', that was a kinda funny :').

Enough about the common cranes.
I almost forgot to blog today :x! I still have got 30 minutes left today. And I want to sleep right now, actually.

The end of the weekend...

Mweheh. It's the end of the weekend. I can sleep as long as I want to... because I've got to be at school at 2 'o clock «3. Or something like that. I made too many common cranes. Seriously, it's almost unhealthy :'). I'll show you a picture of the bag tomorrow. I heard that Anne is pretty good at making those things also xD?

I was working at the restaurant of my parents today... and I saw a Jappie(Japanese thingy) ö! And Mr. Bucket :]. They wanted to drink something ^-^. So I stayed with them for ...10 minutes? Don't know. Something like that.

I'm bored. And I almost forgot to blog :x! I want to make some more common cranes XD! But I had to turn the lights off. My mum yelled it a few minutes ago. ;__;

Yeah. I'm addicted to pokémon again :"D! This time it's pokémon diamond. I downloaded the rom and emulator so I can play it on my laptop now. I'm not very far, I just past the first gym _O-.

I don't know what to write actually. Yesterday I didn't do anything... My parents came home early. They had a dinner with the fishingclubthingy. And I was listening to Worx4uFM, a Dutch radio :'D!

And I've won a priceee. You had to guess where the cam stood, and I was right <3! Now we're going to make a trip with the speedboat of Alfred :]. It's yellow! And Kelly is coming with me :D!

School is over... kinda :'D! I don't have to go to school anymore. I'm still going to some lessons... but just a few hours a day.

And when school was finished... Kelly and I wanted to ask something and we couldn't find Wout Ö! Or Woud. I don't know how you write it and I don't really care actually :'). So we were looking for him and yelling WOUUUUUTTTTDDTDTDTTT and he didn't answer :{. So we think he doesn't love us. AND SUDDENLY WE FOUND HIM. Hallelujah. So we asked what we wanted to ask and then we had to find Stefan(not the b-dayStefan) and then we couldn't find him either --'. We were yelling STEEEEFFANNNN :[!

And we are still alive, even after the terrifying busride... Last week we had an accident and now we're a kinda scared :x! But my nose is still alive.

Well. I'm going to write something tomorrow again ofcourse! With this bftny I think I have to. Byeeeee, peanuts.

Origami fun!

Huray :'D! In English class we decided to do some origami. Yeah, origami. Common cranes. Stefan, Brennan, Kelly and I were making as much as common cranes as possible in 50 minutes. The teacher just let us do what we wanted, because she doesn't want to try to stop us anymore :')... So the four of us made about 54 common cranes that lesson.


When the lesson was finished, we decided to put all of those common cranes on the blackboard <3!

So that was a lot of fun. But we left them there for a few hours and then I took them home ^-^.

We were doing origami like.. the whole day. And it was a lot of fun and stuff :'D! So now there are about.. 6 or 7 people in our class who make common cranes ^-^. That's pretty cool, I think.

This bftny is going to work as well... I think... We'll find out in the next year, right :'D?

Yeah, Bftny. That means "Blog for the next year". That means, that I'm going to blog every day in this year. Well, I'm going to try that.

Kelly is already doing this, but with Tok.
Kelly and Tok are both going to Japan... So I'm all alone over here, in the Netherlands. We want to update eachother every day of course, so I thought this would help me to keep up a blog.

Why am I doing this in English? I don't know. You may give me a reason. Maybe because I like English? Probably.
